  • Three day long National Children's film festival kick started in Vishakhapatnam,Andhra Pradesh.Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu has inaugurated this festival.
  • India and Israel have signed mega defence deals  worth over 2 Billion Dollars for advanced Surface to Air Missile (SAM)systems.

INTERNATIONAL:

  • '7th April'has been celebrated as the 'World Health Day' across the globe.7th April is celebrated to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of World Health Organisation.
  • Germany has become the first 'NATO'member to launch a 'self contained'cyber command unit to protect its IT sensitive datas and weapon systems from growing attacks.
  • Social media and social networking service provider 'Facebook'has launched its digital assitant named 'M'for US users of its messenger application,gearing up the company's efforts in artificial intelligence.

FINANCIAL NEWS:

  • In order to increase the efficiency of the electronic payment system The Reserve Bank of India has slashed the clearance time for 'National Electronic Fund Transfer'.
  • The Ratnakar Bank Limited has announced the opening of Indian Financial System Code Banking Unit at Gujarat International Finance Tech-city(GIFT-city).

  • K Prithika Yashini,India's first transgender person to become a police official in Tamilnadu,India.

  • Minister of Sports and Youth Development Vijay Goyel has announced the name of two foreign coaches for 400 meter race and for race walking.Australian coach Dave Smith has been named coach in race walking,where as American Galina P Bukharina has been appointed as the coach of 400m race . 
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore and 'Nazara Games 'have tied up to launch a new mobile cricket game named 'RCB Star Cricket'.
  • Rio Olympic silver medalist in badminton player P V Sindhu has reached career best  World No.2 ranking in the latest Badminton World Federation(BWF)rankings.
