Railway Extended Upper Age limit & Qualification for ALP and Group D Exams 2018

After mass protest of the aspirants, Railway Ministry has decided to bring relaxation in the upper age limit in the eligibility criteria of the exams for the recruitment of ALP(Assistant Loco Pilot), Technician and Level 1 Posts. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal recently has confirmed it in Twitter. As per the change the exceeded age limit for ALP UR (unreserved) is 30 years, for OBC is 33 years and SC/ST is 35 years. Last date for the submission of the form would be extended. Students can take the exams in various regional languages.

Online Applications are invited around 90,000 posts in Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) like Track maintainer, Points man, Helper, Gateman, Porter and Group C Level II categories like Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP), Technicians (Fitter, Crane Driver, Blacksmith, Carpenter) through Railway Recruitment Boards websites. Last date of submission of application would be extended suitably. Option to take exam in regional languages like Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Odiya and others will be available to the candidates.

For the ongoing recruitment of Group C Level I & II posts, Ministry of Railways have decided to extend the relaxation in upper age limit as under:

Formal corrigendum is being issued on official websites of RRBs shortly. Last date of submission of application would be extended suitably. It has also been decided that the questions in regional languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Odiya, Telugu, Bangla and others will be available for candidates to take the exam.

Online applications have been invited for the Group C Level II posts like Assistant Loco Pilots, Technicians (Fitter, Crane Driver, Blacksmith, and Carpenter) and Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts like Track maintainer, Points man, Helper, Gateman, Porter. This recruitment drive is open for candidates who have passed Class Xth & ITI for Group C Level I posts & Class Xth & ITI or diploma in engineering or a graduation in engineering for Group C Level II posts like Assistant Loco Pilots, Technicians and aspire to join Indian Railways.

Ministry of Railways has published a notification no. CEN 01/2018 for Group C Level II Categories posts for the candidates in the age group of 18-28 years who have passed Class X and have an industrial training certificate (ITI) or diploma in engineering or a graduation in engineering.

The notification no. CEN 02/2018 about Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts for candidates in the age group of 18-31 years and who have passed Class X and have an industrial training certificate (ITI). रेलवे में 90 हजारा पदों पर बंपर भर्ती होने जा रही है, लेकिन इससे ठीक पहले एक नियम बदल दिया गया। अब आवेदकों को नई शर्त के साथ अप्लाई करना होगा।

अब ये होगी नई आयु सीमा
दरअसल रेलवे ने 90 हजार पदों पर भर्ती के लिए उम्र सीमा को बढ़ा दिया है। अब ग्रुप सी लेवल वन की नौकरी के लिए अब 18 से 33 साल के लोग आवेदन कर सकते हैं। पहले यह सीमा 18 से 31 वर्ष थी। वहीं ग्रुप सी लेवल टू के लिए अब आवेदन करने की उम्र सीमा 18 से 30 साल है, यह पहले 18 से 28 साल थी।

इतनी होनी चाहिए योग्यता
ग्रुप सी लेवल वन के पदों पर आवेदन करने वाले उम्मीदवारों का 10वीं पास होना जरूरी है। साथ ही उम्मीदवारों का आईटीआई किया होना जरूरी है। वहीं लेवल टू के लिए आवेदन करने वाले उम्मीदवारों का 10वीं पास होने के साथ साथ आईटीआई, डिप्लोमा और इंजीनियरिंग किया होना भी जरूरी है।

कुल मिलाकर 89409 पद भरे जाएंगे। अकेले चंडीगढ़ में करीब 8 हजार पद भरे जाने जाने हैं। इसमें लोको ड्राइवर और टेकनीशियन के अलावा लेवल 2 में फिटर, क्रेन चालक, लोहार और कारपेंटर तथा लेवल 1 में गैंगमैन, प्वाइंट मैन, गेटमैन और सहायक के पद हैं।

ऑनलाइन आवेदन मांगे गए हैं। वेबसाइट पर आवेदन फॉर्म और सारी जानकारी उपलब्ध है। 7वें वेतन आयोग के अनुसार, लेवल 2 के वेतनमान 19900 से 63200 और लेवल 1 के लिए 18000 से 56900 का वेतनमान होगा। आवेदन 5 और 12 मार्च, 2018 तक स्वीकार किए जाएंगे।
