Solution and Explanation
Solution 1. (a) is correct as with the word 'since' we should always use 'have been'.
Solution 2. (b) is correct as 'put up at' is the correct phrase.
Solution 3. (a) is correct as 'should' has been used in the first part which is why the question tage should be 'shouldn't we?'
Solution 4. (c) is correct as the term 'a' shows singular and so 'is' can be used irrespective of seeds being plural.
Solution 5. (b) is correct because the word 'explain' is more appropriate when a teacher is talking to a student.
Solution 6. (a) is the correct term as 'struck' should be used here and the superlative degree of more should be used.
Solution 7. (b) is correct as 'avoid making' is the right term here and that is because the sentence is in present continuous tense.
Solution 8. (a) is correct as 'advice' is the right word and not advise. 
Solution 9. (d) 'can you' is the right question tag as the first part of the sentence can relate directly with the question tag.
Solution 10. (c) 'covered with' is the correct term because 'with' is the preposition to be used here and not 'by'.
