Explanation 1. 8th September is celebrated as the International Literacy Day. This day emphasizes the importance of education to individuals, communities and society. The theme of the day for this year is "Literacy in a Digital World".

Explanation 2. Nagaland will implement DBT under MGNREGA from this current financial year. The main aim of this initiative is to ensure transparency, verify corruption at all the levels and provide wages of the workers to be credited to their individual account.

Explanation 3. The ICAR would establish two research centers in Tamilnadu to undertake major research works on preserving and promoting the species of Domestic Bull. For this this purpose, the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) would get Rs. 1100 Crore from the World Bank.
