Solution

Ans.1 – e)

Ans.2 – a)
Here total wages of men and women = (600 + 400) * 2.5 = 2550.
Let the wages of men is Rs. X and That of women Rs. (X – 0.50).
600 * X + 400(X-0.50) = 2550
X = Rs. 2.75.
Women = 2.75 – 0.50 = 2.25

Ans.3 – b)
Hints:
D/35 – D/40 = 15 * 1/60
D = 70 km.

Ans.4 – a)
Hints: (A + B+ C+ D) – (B+C+D+E) = 320-316
A – E = 4
A= 71+4=75 kg.

Ans.5 – e)
Required ratio = 130/100 =13 : 10

Ans.6 – d)
The cow can graze= 22/7 * 14 * 14 = 616 sq.feet.
Required time = 616/100 = 6.16 or 6 days.

Ans.7 – e)
Ans.8- e)
90% of marked price = Rs 7600
100% of marked price = 7600/90 * 100 = Rs 8444.4

Ans.9 – d)
After 1st operation A=50 and B=50
After 2nd operation A=50-25+50=75 and B=50-25=25
After 3rd operation A=75-37.5=37.5 and B=25-12.5+50=62.5

Ans.10- a)

Ans.11 –a)
Here the series is:
14 * 1 -1
13 * 2 -4
22 *3 – 9

Ans.12 –c)
Here the series is:
217 + 7=224
224 – 11 =213
213 + 13=226
226 -17=209
209+19=228

Ans.13 –e)
Here the series is:
153 + 73=496
496 + 63=712
712 + 53=837
837 + 43=901
901 + 33=928

Ans.14 – b)
Here the series is:
11 * 7 – 7 * 5 = 42
42 * 6 – 6 * 6 = 216
216 * 5 – 5 * 7 = 1045
1045 * 4 – 4 * 8 = 4148
4148 * 3 – 3 * 9 = 12417

Ans.15 – d)
Here the series is:
488/2 + 1.0 = 245
245/2 +1.5=124
124/2 + 2.0=64
64/2 + 2.5=34.5
34.5/2 + 3.0=20.25
