Solution
1.Total number of employees in administration department
= (2500 × 12)/100 = 300
No. of male employees
= (7/12) × 300 = 175
Total no. of employees in printing department
= (2500 × 6)/100 = 150
No. of male employees
= (2/3) × 150 = 100
Required ratio = 175 : 100 = 7 : 4

2.Required difference
= 2500 × (18 - 14)/100 = 100

3.Total no. of employees in HR department
= (2500 × 16)/100 = 400
No. of males
= (5/8) × 400 = 250
No. of females
= 400 - 250 = 150
No. of employees in marketing department
= (2500 × 15)/100 = 375
No. of males
= (7/15) × 375 = 175
No. of females
= 375 - 175 = 200
Required ratio
= (250 + 175) : (150 + 200)
= 17 : 14

4.Total female employees in HR department
= 400 - 250 = 150

5.Total no. of employees in logistics department
= (2500 × 11)/100 = 275
No. of males
= (6/11) × 275 = 150
No. of females
= 275 - 150 = 125
Required difference = 150 - 125 = 25

6.Average percentage
= (82 + 74 + 92 + 84 + 66 + 64)/6 = 77%
Required average = (50 × 77)/100 = 38.5

7.Marks obtained by E in all the subjects
= 36 + 33 + 82 + (75 × 87)/100 + 62 + (78 × 120)/100
= 371.85
Required% = (62/371.85) × 100 = 17% (approx)

8.Overall percentage in English
= (66 + 84 + 72 + 60 + 78 + 54)/6
= 69%

9.Marks obtained by D in:
History = 38
Maths = 83
Science = (75 × 81)/100 = 60.75
English = (120 × 60)/100 = 72
Total marks = (38 + 83 + 60.75 + 72) = 253.75

10.Total marks obtained by B in all subjects together
= 40 + 37 + 73 + (66 × 75)/100 + 76 + (84 × 120)/100
= 376.3
