Solution
1.Total cost of the plot
     = Rs. (640×4600) = Rs. 2944000 = Booking amount = 30% of 2944000
     = (2944000×30) ÷ 100 = Rs. 883200

2.Cost price of computer = Rs.( 100×15933) ÷ 113 = Rs. 14100

3.% loss or gain= x + y + (xy ÷ 100)
   so, 5  ̶  5  ̶  [(5×5)÷100] = 0.25% loss

4. let the total number of the votes polled be x. then,
      65% of x  ̶  35% of x = 270
      or, x = (270×100) ÷ 30 = 9000

5. Alloy X, Lead : Tin = 3:2;   Tin = (2×60) ÷ 5 = 24kg
    Alloy Y, Tin : Copper = 1:4; Tin = (1×100) ÷ 5 = 20kg
    Total amount of tin in new alloy = 20 + 24 = 44kg

6.  Somnath     Subhasish     Abhishek
   (16000×12)  : (12000×12) : (20000×6) = 192: 144 : 120 = 8 : 6 : 5

7. ?% of 229 ≈ [(140×6326) ÷ 100]  ̶  7782= 1074.4
    or, ? × 23 = 1074.4
    or ? = 1074.4 ÷ 23 = 46.71 ≈ 48

8. Travelled by air = 1200km
    Trip = (1200×5/2) = 3000km
    Remaining trip = 3000  ̶  1200 = 1800km
    So, travelled by car = 3000/3 = 1000km
    So, travelled by train = 1800  ̶   1000 = 800km

9. Let the present age of the man =5x years, son = x years
    according to the question,
                              5x + x = 18×2
                              or, 6x = 36
                              or, x = 6
    So, man’s present age = 5×6= 30 years
     Son’s present age = 6 years
     Ratio after 6 years = 36 : 12 = 3 : 1

10. (25×6) + (10×17) = 320 paise
      total paise = 1600
      no of 10 paise coins = (1600×17) ÷ 320 = 85
