Hello friends,

My name is Rakesh Kumar. I have graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and tried some odd jobs in different companies but leave those due to huge pressure & frustration. During my time in this private companies it was eventual to me that I must start my preparation for Government Jobs. My primary focus was banking exams and I started my preparation in April 2014. When I started my preparation I was bit confused, From which section I need to start my preparation in these competitive atmosphere ?
As I was from technical background and due to out of practice for a long time I have to prepare for different sections from scratch. Gradually I started preparation for Quantitative, Reasoning, English. During the preparation phase I Had took some free mock tests and trying to analyze them properly, but most of the time I failed to score but I was trying my best. Gradually my weak areas were sorted out. Basically I was focused in these 3 Subjects: Quant, Reasoning, English. For Quant Section I started extensive practice and gave some Sectional Mock test and for English section I grew up habit of reading English newspaper regularly. After doing practice for several months (8-10 Months Approx.) when I got my confidence I had given some full length mock test at that situation,  I was unable to achieve good score.

My first exam was SBI-PO 2014 but didn't clear the exam rather it was a failure to learn from it. I learned a lot from this failure and I had learnt that not only these three subjects will take you to the sure shot comfort zone of selection rather Current Affairs, Banking Awareness, GK section was one of the root cause of my failure in the exam. From the start of my preparation phase I was regular visitors of top competitive exams website but the information provided there are not up to the mark. But I followed them for further few months then again I attempt for another Banking Exams, Again I was failed to score.  At that situation I was shocked, why am I not able to qualify? Then One day I decided to purchased some Quality Materials for static parts, and I started reading 2-3 newspapers (Times of India, The Hindu) to prepare for my Current Affairs section and I note down the important events in my note books, for static GK I went through some leading publications book extensively. They helped me a lot to crack the exams. After this I have cleared a series banking exams and even some of SSC exams. Here, I will share a few Roll No’s of those exams in which I successfully cleared. After clearing a series of banking exams, I decided to Join as a Probationary Officer at Punjab National Bank. Finally I joined Punjab National Bank and posted at Mumbai. Now I am also preparing for UPSC. After joining as a PO in PNB Mumbai, Still I am not satisfied, for this particular reasons I use my spare time in posting valuable contents for you through this platform and help our readers to strategise their preparation.
