Solution

Ans.1 –b)
Let SP = x. Then CP=2x/3
Gain = (x-2x/3)
Gain % = x/3 * 3/2x * 100%=50%.

Ans.2 –b)
CP1 = 7500
SP1= 4500 * 124/100 = 9300 = CP2
SP2= 9300 * 80/100 = 7440 = CP1>SP2
Required loss=7500-7440=60

Ans.3 – b)
CP=100/70 * 6384 = 9120
SP = 130/100 * 9120=11856

Ans.4 –e)
Profit of one calculator=250(1-100/114) = 30.70
Total amount of the profit = 19*7*30.70=4083.10

Ans.5 - e)

Ans.6 – b)
Gain%=(5/15 *100)%=100/3 %

Ans.7 – c)
SI=(30008 * 4 * 4)/100 = 4801.28

Ans.8 – e)
Speed of the truck=640/10=64km/h
Speed of the car =640/8=80km/h
So the required ratio = 64/80 = 4:5

Ans.9 – a)
Let the total profit=x
According to the question = 4/7 * 91x/100=1196
Hence, total profit=Rs. 2300.

Ans.10 – b)
According to the formula,
M1D1W2=M2D2W1
D2=10 adys.

Ans.11 –c)
Series pattern (15 * 11), (15 * 13), (15 * 17), ( 15 * 19), (15 * 23), ( 15 * 29)

Ans.12 –d)
Series pattern
No * 4 + 2

Ans.13 –a)
Series pattern
16 + 12 = 17
17 + 22= 21
21 + 32=30
30 + 42= 46

Ans.14 –d)
Series pattern
7 + 9 =16
9 + 16 =25
16 + 25 = 41
25 + 41=66

Ans.15- c)
Series pattern
4 * 0.5 = 2
2 * 1.5 = 3
3 * 2.5 = 7.5
7.5 * 3.5 = 26.25
26.25 * 4.5 = 118.125
