The Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has launched e-RTI becomes second state to accept online applications.

  • Delhi became the second state to launch e-RTI portal that will enable citizens to file online Right to Information (RTI). Maharashtra is the first state to launch the online RTI platform.

India’s premiere aerospace and defence company HAL signs MOU with Defence Ministry.

  • Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for 2017-18 with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Delhi on Tuesday. The annual MoU was signed by Ashok Kumar Gupta, Secretary, Department of Defence Production, and T. Suvarna Raju, Chairman and Managing Director, HAL.

Maharashtra has become the first state in the country to launch injectable contraceptives for women.
  • Maharashtra has become the first state in the country to roll out a reversible method of contraception through intramuscular injections for women. 
  • Marking the World Population Day on Tuesday, the state public health department procured 33,000 doses of injections under a national programme called ‘Antara’.
Indian Railway Organisation for Alternative Fuel(IROAF) set gold standards by winning Golden Peacock Award for ECO innovation for the year 2017.
  • Indian Railways achieves a major landmark in the field of Eco friendly fuel technologies at Indian Railways Organization for Alternate Fuel (IROAF) which has been awarded the coveted National level “Golden Peacock Award for the Year 2017 for Eco-Innovation” for substitution of fossil fuels (Diesel) by environment friendly CNG in DEMU passenger train services. 
  • Use of CNG in Train Sets for passenger transportation has been done for the first time in the world. The CNG based dual fuel 1400 HP engine used in DEMU trains developed by IROAF has successfully substituted diesel fuel with CNG upto 20%.
Axis Bank, IIC pact to boost trade with Latin America. 
  • Axis BankBSE -0.01 % today announced that it will help traders boost relations between India and Latin America and the Caribbean in a collaboration with Inter- American Investment Corporation. 
  • It will facilitate trade with Latin America and the Caribbean in which Axis Bank will participate in the Trade Finance Facilitation Programme (TFFP) as a confirming bank. 
  • Axis bank is the first Indian bank to be a part of such a facility.
36th Foundation day of NABARD is celebrated.
  • The Union Finance minister Mr. Arun Jaitley has inaugurated the 36th NABARD Foundation day on 12 July and silver Jubilee of SHG(Self Help Group) Bank linkage programme in New Delhi.
Revamped NHB RESIDEX has been launched by Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs  Venkaiah Naidu.
  • The revamped and expanded official online user friendly NHB RESIDEX that captures movements in the prices of residential real estate prices released.This revealed that prices during January-March,2017 have increased over that of October-December, 2016, in about half of the cities covered under the survey while the other half have either registered a decline or remained the same. 
  • Debi Prasad Dash takes over as DRI(Directorate of Revenue Intelligence) chief.
  • Debi Prasad Dash, a 1985-batch Indian Revenue Service (customs) officer, has taken over as director-general of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, the premier agency that tackles smuggling and black money.
  • Mr. Dash was the acting DRI chief for the past five months. 
Subhash Garg takes charge as economic affairs secretary in finance ministry.
  • Senior bureaucrat Subhash Chandra Garg today assumed charge as secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) in the finance ministry.
  • A 1983 batch IAS officer, from the Rajasthan cadre, Garg was World Bank executive director for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Sri Lanka prior to this appointment.
India women cricket team skipper Mithali Raj creates history, becomes highest scorer in women's ODI.
  • Indian women's cricket team skipper Mithali Raj on had surpassed former England captain Charlotte Edwards to become the highest run-scorer in the One-Day Internationals (ODI) at the Bristol County Ground here.
  • Mithali achieved the feat during Wednesday's group stage match of the Women's World Cup against Australia .
In a First, India to Host 8th Theatre Olympics in 2018.
  • India will host the Theatre Olympics in 2018, first since the event's inception in 1993, Ministry of Culture in association with National School of Drama (NSD) announced in New Delhi.
  • Running from 17 February to 8 April, the eighth edition of the international event will see over 500 plays and 700 ambiance performances by artistes from across the globe.
Model United Nations Regional Conference begins in Kathmandu.
  • A Model United Nations (MUN) Regional Conference is being held at Kathmandu. The event is organised by the US Embassy in partnership with the Youth Thinker’s Society.
  • Youths from 12 South and Central Asian countries including India are participating in 5 day conference. The basic aim of the MUN is to provide a platform to young minds to channelise energy and resources for a more prosperous and peaceful world.
The Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mukul Sangma has launched LIFE program at Songsak.
  • The Chief Minister of Meghalaya MR. Mukul Sangma has launched a flagship program “Livelihood Intervention and Facilitation of Entrepreneurship(LIFE)” at Songsak.
  • The flagship program LIFE will focus on capacity building of individual and community i.e Self Help Groups(SHGs).
YES Bank has launched ‘YES GST’ Program in order to assist MSMEs become GST ready.
  • A ready reckoner on on GST is being made available at all YES BANK branches 
  • The Bank has also introduced YES GST Learning Series for their 20,000+ employees, to induct them into the transformational tax regime the country is about to undergo YES GST Product Solutions .
  • India’s largest public sector lender SBI has waived off charges on IMPS Fund transfer up to RS. 1000.
  • Country’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) has waived charges for fund transfer of up to Rs1,000 through its IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) to promote small transactions.
  • State Bank of India had been charging Rs5 along with the applicable service tax for IMPS fund transfer of up to Rs1,000. IMPS is an instant interbank service through mobile phones as well as internet banking.
Rajasthan has become the first state in the country to fix minimum educational qualification for its local cooperative body election.
  • Rajasthan has fixed minimum educational qualification for contesting cooperative body polls.This new rule will benefit around 10,000 cooperative and agricultural societies.
