NATIONAL:

• India and Sri Lanka has signed Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) on economic cooperation.the agreement was signed in the presence of prime Minister narendra modi and Srilankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickmeresinghe in New Delhi.

• The Gujarat international Finance Tech City(GIFT CITY) has got its  honorary consulate office of Belgium.It is the first of this type office to be opened in GIFT City ,Gujarat.

• India and Armenia have signed three agreements after Vice president Hamid Ansari met with the Prime Minister of Armenia Mr Karen Karpetyan in Yerevan,Armenia.

• The largest technological hub in North East India has been inaugurated at Agartala.This Technological Hub will  boost employment and e-governance besides exporting technology.   

• The Union Minister of Urban Development and Urban poverty Allevation Mr. Venkaiah Naidu has inaugurated the the 47th foundation day of HUDCO.

INTERNATIONAL:

• The retired marine major general Randolph Ailes has been named as the new director of the secret service.he will replace  Joseph Clancy who retired from the agency.

• 'World Intellectual Property' day is celebrated across the world on 26 April 2017.The 'World Intellectual Property day' is organised by 'World Intellectual property Organisation'.This organisation has 189 member states.

FINANCIAL NEWS:

• The "YES" bank has announced its partnership with 'Paisabazar.com'.Under this partnership YES Bank will provide approved loans which are subjected to certain conditions to its customers.

AWARDS:

• Dileep K Nair has got Baba Saheb Ambedkar International Foundation Award for excellent performance in the field of education in Trivendurum,Kerala.At the age of 38 years he has become the youngest Chancellor to receive this award. He is currently serving as chancellor in North east frontier Technical University (NEFTU)in Arunachal Pradesh.
