Solution
1.The series is: 4
                         4 × 2 + 2 = 10
                       10 × 3 + 3 = 33
                       33 × 4 + 4 = 136
                     136 × 5 + 5 = 685
                     685 × 6 + 6 = 4116
                   4116 × 7 + 7 = 28819

2.? = [(228 × 650)/100] + [(74 × 744.84)/100]   ̶  1369
      = 1482 + 551  ̶  1369
      = 664 ≈ 665

3.Quantity × Rate = Price = 1 × 1 = 1
   Now, 0.75 × 1.27 = 0.9525
   Decrease in price = (1  ̶  0.9525) × 100
                                = 0.0475 × 100
                                = 4.75%

4.Let SP of one banana be Rs.1
   Then, SP of 15 bananas = Rs.15 and Profit = Rs.1
   So, CP = (15 ̶ 1) = Rs.14
   Profit % = (1/14) × 100
                 = 7.14%

5.A’s one day’s work = 1/28
   B’s one day’s work = 140% of 1/28 = (140 × 1)/(100 × 28)
                                   = 1/20
Hence B can do the same piece of work in 20 days

6.Let the speed of Ramesh be S1 and that of Suresh = S2 and let the time taken by Suresh be ‘t’        seconds.
   Then,
             (S1/S2) = [1200÷(t+30)]÷[900/t] = 5/6
         Or, [1200t÷{900(t+30)}] = 5/6
         Or, 24t = 15t + 450
         Or, 9t = 450
         Or, t = 50 seconds
   Speed of Suresh = 900/50 = 18m/s
   Speed of Ramesh = 1200/(50+30) = 15m/s
   So, required difference = (18  ̶  15) = 3m/s

7.Total volume of water displayed by 450 men = 450 × 5 = 2250 cu.m
So, rise in water level = volume/ base area
                                       = (2250 × 100) ÷ (150 × 60)
                                       = 25cm

8.B = {(1,1), (1,2), (1,3), (1,4), (1,5), (1,6)……(6,5), (6,6)}
   So, n(S) = 6 × 6 = 36
   E = {(1,5), (2,5), (3,5), (4,5), (5,5), (6,5), (5,1), (5,2), (5,3), (5,4), (5,6)}
   So, n(E) = 11
   So, P(E) = 11/36

9.Let the no. be a and b
   Then, a + b = 24
   So, maximum of (a × b) will be only when a = b Or, a = b = 12
   So, Maximum of a × b = 12 × 12 = 144

10.8.5% of MP = 32
     So, MP = 3200/8.5 = 376
     Now, SP = MP  ̶  32
                    = 376   ̶  32
                    = 344

11.? = 1/3 of 1875 + 2/5 of 4360  ̶  7/8 of 1584
        = 625 + 1744  ̶  (7 × 198)
        = 2369  ̶  1386
        = 983

12.1/7 of 1519 + 67.5% of 2040 = ? ÷ 25
      Or, (?/25) = 217 + 1377 = 1594
      Or, ? = 1594 × 25
               = 39850
